Salary Arbitration in Sports Conference (SAS)
The Challenge
Veteran sports agents Jeff Fannell, Rex Gary and Mike Nicotera were looking to create a comprehensive learning experience that focused on the specialized area of salary arbitration, something that had never been done before in the industry. Our team was tasked with managing and supporting all aspects of production including venue scouting, sponsorship, planning, staffing, creative direction, print management and talent booking.
Our Success
The first ever SAS Conference was successfully hosted by St. John’s University School of Law in Queens, NY. The JFA team curated all brand development, creative packaging and digital assets. Through our media partnership with frontofficesports.org the SAS Conference garnered over 75,000 social media impressions across Twitter and LinkedIn directed to the niche (sports business/law) target audience. This exposure, plus the support of multiple sponsor partners, resulted in 100+ attendees on-site at the conference and overwhelmingly positive feedback. Special guest speakers included Rick Shapiro (MLBPA), Paul Mifsud (MLB), Omar Minaya (MLBPA), CJ Nitkowski (former MLB Player), Phil Bradley (former MLB Player), John Ricco (NY Mets), and many more of the best in the business.
